Broward County has many well-established neighborhoods displaying lush lawns and palm trees. These homes are often completed in mid-century styles, featuring decorative brickwork, low-hipped roof and floor plan layouts, and adjacent carports. There is also an excellent selection of cottages with new-traditional details.

At the high-end of the market are the large waterfront single-family homes. The modern designs feature wall-to-wall-to-ceiling windows, open interiors, and structures featuring long clean lines. The more traditional homes draw on Spanish and Colonial design principles, with earthy stucco exteriors and terracotta roofs for the former, and shutters and upper-floor balconies for the latter.

Many communities are also integrated with world-class golf courses, so keep a look out for those if you’d like to be able to put in a few rounds before breakfast.
