Atlantis is a small gated city just minutes from South Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to 1959, it was a cattle ranch called Mulberry Farms. In 1958, real estate developers bought the land from ranch owner Philip D. Lewis. The next year they started building and eventually transformed the area into a beautiful community built around two golf courses.

There are just under 2,000 residents in Atlantis, making it one of the smallest incorporated cities in the States. The city attracts people of all ages, so you’ll find a good mix of families, young professionals, and retirees. The atmosphere here is very peaceful, as the city is gated and has its own police force to ensure the community is safe and secure.

Atlantis is conveniently located west of South Palm Beach, south of West Palm Beach, and north of Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton. Being such a small community, Atlantis does not have a wide array of restaurants or nightlife. However, the city is just a short drive to other vibrant communities in South Florida. South Palm Beach, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton all have a great selection of venues to shop, dine, and drink.

And of course you’re never far from great beaches when you live in Atlantis. Head east to the coast and you can find miles of white sand beaches and plenty of opportunities for swimming, boating, paddle boarding, bird watching, and fishing.
