Riviera Beach Location & Area Info
Riviera Beach is a city in Palm Beach County, located between Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach along Florida’s southeast Atlantic coast.
The boundaries of Riviera Beach are the Atlantic coast to the east, including part of Singer Island and the intracoastal waterway between, Haverhill Road to the west, Silver Beach Road to the north, and an indeterminate line along the northern boundary of communities like Mangonia Park, Pinewood Park, and Spencer Lakes. All of this covers an area of approximately 10 square miles of mixed residential, commercial, and light industrial development intersected with major transport routes.
As for transport, the I-91 Interstate Highway runs north to south through the western portion of Riviera Beach. Other major routes include Blue Heron Boulevard, President Barack Obama Highway, and M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard. Blue Heron Boulevard connects to Singer Island via the Blue Heron Bridge.
Roughly half of the area of Riviera Beach is taken up by residential neighborhoods, mostly older and well-established suburbs, giving way to more up-market private developments at the western edge. In between there are large zones home to businesses and light industry, as well as some mobile-home communities. The eastern shores of Riviera Beach are home to a high-density of marine related businesses, including marinas, shipyards, and the Port of Palm Beach - making for a busy waterway where you can find boats for sale, rent, or tours.

The real estate market in Riviera Beach offers a good mix of property and neighborhood types. Riviera Beach’s eastern half is full of bungalows, cottages, and ranchers typical of south Florida’s beach-modern style. These homes typically consist of low-hipped roofs over a single level, fronted with unadorned windows (although some have awnings), an offset attached garage and recessed entry. Given the age of some of these neighborhoods, it's natural that many offer quite generous lot sizes to enjoy - perfect space for a garden or pool.
Riviera Beach’s central areas have many communities with attached units. These low-rise condo apartment communities include their own common recreation centers with pools and park spaces, as well as a convenient location close to transport routes and many businesses and entertainment venues.
Further west, there are private luxury developments like Lone Pine Estates, Turtle Cay, and Woodbine. At Riviera Beach’s eastern edge, on Singer Island. There are luxury canal homes in the community of Palm Beach Isles. These homes feature carriage drives, covered pools, and beautiful modern designs. Those facing the canals include private boat docks for accessing the waterways to the west.

Other attractions around Riviera Beach include the Rapids Water Park - a great place for the family to spend the day, and to the west, preserves and parks like the Winding Waters Natural Area and Grassy Waters Preserve.
Riviera Beach has many community parks and recreation centers, including the Barracuda Bay Aquatic Complex, Dan Calloway-Tate Recreation Center, and Wells Recreation Center. These facilities offer the public use of basketball courts, ball fields, pools and more.

Riviera Beach has around four elementary schools, one public middle school, and the large Suncoast Community High School.
