Wellington Area Overview

Wellington is a gorgeous village located just west of West Palm Beach in central Palm Beach County, Florida. Wellington is about 70 road miles north of the city of Miami, which is about a 1 hour 20 minute drive on Florida’s Turnpike.

Wellington is widely regarded as one of the most successfully crafted communities in all of Florida. This town has abundant parks, quality schools, attractive neighborhoods, and equestrian facilities.

In fact, thanks to these facilities and the year round warm weather, Wellington is internationally recognized as the Winter Equestrian Capital of the world!

Locals love it’s warm “hometown” vibe, with the close-knit community taking great pride in their area. All 45 square miles of Wellington are meticulously maintained by the village and its residents.

These events happen almost weekly, featuring food trucks, movie nights and concerts. There are also special holiday events, including egg hunts and 4th of July celebrations. Almost all of the events that take place throughout the year are free!

If you’re looking to enjoy yourself when exercising, Wellington has its own tennis and aquatic complexes - and, of course, it wouldn’t be Florida without golf.
