Indian River Estates, St. Lucie County Real Estate

There are three main types of real estate available in Indian River Estates.

First, there are the tightly-knit private communities of Tropical Isles (55+), The Grove and Palm Grove. These neighborhoods consist of rows of cozy homes built around ponds and common amenities, like pools and tennis courts.

As the community progresses eastward, it breaks into open grid-like streets with irregularly sized lots and mature trees. In fact, some of the lots are completely wooded, providing a serene break between the homes. The homes themselves occupy spacious yards, in a variety of styles and configurations.

Overall, the average home in Indian River Estates ranges from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet. Around half of the homes have pools, some covered in lanais.

Most of the homes are unassuming side-gabled ranch or bungalows. The windows are typically simple, with shutters or awnings. Other typical features include single-attached or carports.

The streets of Indian River Estates are narrow, usually without sidewalks, providing extra space for long setbacks and front lawns.

The final property type in Indian River Estates are the luxurious oceanside homes along the eastern shores. These luxurious estates are typical of south Florida’s luxury housing market, with access to the water, large properties, secondary buildings, pools, tennis courts and so on.
